Power defines life. In life there are always people in charge of something or someone. Once we decide that we need to live with power and not for it we will understand that power is in fact meaningless. In George Orwell’s essay “The Hanging” an authority figures narrates the journey of a Hindu man in jail who was condemned to the gallows of death. Another authority figure, the superintendent, wishes for the man to die in order to go eat breakfast. This statement was a reflection of how abuse of power can become so disgusting and racist that it can determine the faith of innocent people. Power is a double-edged sword. It can give the courage to plea for life in the breach of death or the inhumanity to send a living man to die. We have the power to make the right decisions every day. Sometimes we can’t change the situation but we can always rely on ourselves.

Before it's too late.

The globally renowned organization "World Wildlife Fund" has created this advertisement to raise awareness among people in a shocking way. The beautiful landscape depicted in the ad is ruined by a scar that might never be cured. It is asking us to think of trees as if they were the lungs of our planet. It makes perfect sense to think that we are smoking earth away
WWF also organizes campaigns to protect endangered species and their environment. When we smoke away the trees that gives us life, we are affecting the livelihood of wild animals and our home. I feel tormented when I see this advertisement because it reminds me of cancer, which can only be stoped if it's treated on time.
Stop spreading cancer on earth before it's too late.
